Spanish Honor Society

National Spanish Honor Society Constitution

The organization is the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica de Kentucky. Our chapter is Vicente Aleiandre.

Its Purpose is:

A) To encourage the study of Spanish at Blazer and to inspire further study.

B) To encourage the participation in Spanish activities.

C) To further the develolpment of leadership skills such as responsibility, cooperation and consideration.

Qualification for Membership

Students

A) A regularly enrolled student of a secondary school who has maintained an honor average as a student for at least three semesters is eligible for membership in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica. Honor average is defined as a 90% for the first three semesters or an 80% average after 5 semesters. Students must be continuing Spanish 3 and maintain an 80% average overall.

B) Anyone who is a member of Vicente Aleixandre is a member of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica de Kentrucky.

Dues

Each returning member shall continue his membership upon the annual payment of dues. New member will pay $20, 2nd year members will pay $15, 3rd year members will pay $10.

Meetings are held on an as needed basis.
